Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

This place is very neat and clean with awesome servers. The food came out in quick time during lunch hours and the quality of the food was great. The chips and salsa was to die for. The spinach dip was mouth watering. We tried the street tacos and used fish. The street tacos were pretty good but what got me was the rice and beans. I should of just ordered rice and beans. It was seasoned so well to the point where we were fight over each other's plates. The service and food was great and we had a good time. We also met some friendly people there. Great environment. We'll definitely be back for more!

Love this place. Gerardo is a professional and uses fresh ingredients too. Also cool that they are flexible with menu choices. For instance the street tacos with fish are not on the menu but are my favorite.

As good as it gets is right because they have no competition. Honestly, Lindo is very good. I go there about once a week and I am always satisfied. They are about to open a second location in a nearby city, but I can't remember where.

I had a great bowl of chicken soup here. It's not on the menu, so know before you go!

Rio Lindo is not your typical Delta Mexican restaurant. I believe it to be the best restaurant in Phillips County. The complimentary tortilla chips and salsa are a wonderful first taste of what this restaurant has to offer. The chips are homemade, fresh, and perfectly salted. The salsa is a balanced taste made with fresh ingredients. The menu is very small compared to the other Mexican restaurant in town. But if there is something that you want specifically, dont be afraid to ask. My favorite item is not on the menu, and it is always available - Chicken Soup (served with fresh lime!). Other items that are delicious are the Shrimp and Chorizo Quesadilla and the Spinach and Mushroom Quesadilla Light. This place can be more on the expensive side, but it is truly the only place where you can eat healthy in Phillips County... and to me... its worth it.

My little story starts on Jan 30 2015. I decided to give Rio Lindo-Marvell, AR a chance because I had done so much business with Rio Lindo-Helena, AR and never been dissatisfied. My first order was simple, cheese dip chips and a coke. My order total was $6.45 and i happily went to work with my purchase. My next experience was a bit displeasing and it was totally based on my purchase total. I called in an order which consisted of a 1 small Rebelde($5.99) plus veggies added peppers onions tomatoes & mushrooms - 1 small cheese dip($3.29) and a bottled drink a coke in a glass bottle that was located in a cooler nearby the cashier station. I have no idea how much the drink was priced. On this visit i paid $16.06. I was thinking wow that's expensive. One person One order Not fancy in MARVELL ARKANSAS and I'm paying Little Rock and Memphis dinner prices. But I thought ok the extra veggies a cup of ice to go with the coke maybe even a standard fee tacked on for the cook. UNTIL I decide to call in on Feb 6 2015 and place the exact same order except I did not order a drinks because I already had one. So of course I'm thinking my total would be less than $16. When I showed up at the restaurant about 10 mins later the hostess had a smile on her face and was glad to see me - now I know why! When she totaled my purchase she told me it would be $18.??. Those are question marks because the second I heard $18 my brain went into another mode - namely defensive because it was then and there that I realized I was being ripped off. I said "that's too much" she looked at me funny as if she couldn't believe what I said. I said again "that's too much" and she tried to explain to me that I had asked for mushrooms. I was seeing red by this time because I realized what was going on. I told the lady "she could keep it i was going to do something dofferent" namely not sit by and let someone take advantage of me or try to. And I walked out and left. Once I get in my vehicle I decide to call the Helena Rio Lindo location and just ask how much a small Rebelde and a small cheese dip purchase would be. He tells me $10 and some change. So I tell him I'll place my order there and told him exactly why and what had transpired at Marvell. So I ordered the same thing. Long story short when I went to pick up my order at the Cherry Street locarion the owner asked me if I had placed an order and left it at the Marvell location. I told him i most certainly had and why. He then tells me I had not told him exactly what I wanted because i failed to tell him veggies. So I said you mean to tell me you charge over $8.00 for vegetables. And he says yes. By this time I knew he was lying too and so I said you are all crazy and trying to rip someone off and I don't need this and won't be back plus a few other words I'm sure of. I was seeing red. Nothing makes me madder than for someone to blatantly lie to me or try to cheat me - which is what they both had done. I will never step foot in the restaurant again EVER! And to think I had done business there for 2 years and never had a problem. But I was always with a group before. I don't know if that made a difference but something sure did

Although it's true that Rio does not have much competition in downtown Helena, they continually provide good customer service and have always treated me as if they really do want my business. They have a full bar, which is not terribly common in town, and, as other reviewers have stated, they are very accomodating when it comes to ordering off-menu. This is the place in town you can take your vegan, gluten-free friend out and still find something tasty that they can eat. I suggest the guacamole, which is consistently good. I also love the tacos "calle" (or street tacos) that are not on the menu. There is a second location in Marvell, AR, as well.
